Clint Thomas

Executive Director

For 20 years, I worked in state law enforcement. Time and time again, I worked cases where officers were injured, faced life-threatening situations, or lost in the line of duty. This experience stuck with me as I began working in corporate security.

When I came across a request for assistance for Team BlueLine, I saw an opportunity to serve the law enforcement community I had been a part of for 20 years. Joining Team BlueLine allowed me to practically and continually help officers just like the ones I saw struggling in my years as an agent.

I now serve as the Executive Director to support the day-to-day operations of Team BlueLine, helping the team function as efficiently and effectively as possible so that no officer has to struggle alone.

How Team BlueLine Began

In 2015, our team started feeling burdened to start a nonprofit that would help law enforcement families. We were deeply impacted by the personal testimony of a coworker who had lost his father in the line of duty. We began to see firsthand the lasting effects of being in law enforcement and witness the heart-breaking tragedy of officers being killed or injured. We knew something had to be done to give back to these officers and their families who had given so much for others.

That same year, while training for his first full-distance IRONMAN®, our founder, Chad, began finishing every race carrying a BlueLine Flag. The BlueLine Flag represents all law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. We saw this as a small way to bring honor to those in the line of duty. This tradition of carrying the flag later birthed the idea for Team BlueLine Racing.

In 2016, our dream and calling become a reality, with the help of many wonderful people, when Team BlueLine became an official 501 (c)(3) nonprofit. Shortly after their launch, Team BlueLine Racing began as TBL’s primary fundraising initiative. Over the past 5 years, TBL has grown so much and had the joy of helping so many officers and their families.
